Camp U & I Day-2

Today was hell of a blast!!! Why? Read on to find out! Tonight was gonna be the Halloween Night, therefore, we had LOTS to do today! Woke up at 8am due to people walking here and there causing me to not be able to go back to sleep even if I wanted to as we were sleeping near the clubrooms together with the other clubs. The banging of doors of people coming in and out of the clubrooms was damn irritating! No choice since some had to get up much earlier than others so that equals to those who could get up even later than others having to wake up at the same time as them in the end... Err, does that make sense to you guys? Anyways, went to brush my teeth and wash-up a little before going for breakfast. Morning breakfast the camp catered was Nasi Lemak, I just ate a little cause I can't east much for breakfast. Today the campers had their telematch from 10am-2pm and a cheer competition from 2pm-4.30pm. They got to shower from 4.30pm-6pm and were treated to a dinner buffet (which I didn't even get to taste! why? read on...) from 6pm-7.20pm.
For the whole day while they were having fun, after breakfast at 10am, I straight away went to set up with a couple of others the Halloween Night Ghost Trail.

This was our schedule for yesterday and today. Yes... The trail took us almost 2 whole days to set-up and decorate! Some of us didn't even sleep just to set up the entire trail! Most of the decor was already done yesterday though by me and my friends so today we just had to make and arrange the props and decide who'd be the ghosts and ghouls to scare the people coming into the trail later at night. I tried to do as much as I can from 10am-4pm before taking a break and joining a few of my classmates in the library who dropped by school to finish up their PP Posters. I sat there to rush and finish up my poster from 4pm-6pm and thank god I finished it in time!! All that's left is for me to wake up tomorrow morning on time to rush to the printing shop to avoid the long hectic queue of people who also wants to last-minute print their PP Posters. 6pm-7.15pm was supposed to be my dinner (yes...! the dinner buffet...) but I decided to wake myself up and have a shower instead or I won't be lively enough for the HALLOWEEN NIGHT DANCE PARTY later!!! Had my shower, got suited up and ready to party!!! Went back to the Agora Hall where the party's gonna be and the backdoor that leads to the deserted hallway of generators and stairwell where our Ghost Trail is gonna be. Turned out that we had til 7.45pm to set-up and get ready, so decided to help abit more with the ghost trail and the Halloween booths.

With that done, it was time to start the Halloween Night Trail! The campers came in all dressed up in their Halloween costumes. They were split into teams and had to complete certain booths, mine was a crossword puzzle while others include questionaires, bobbing their head into a pail of baked beans & tuna to find gummy skeletons, snorting out jellybeans with your nose, picking random ingredients, blending and mixing them to a gross concoction for consumption and even entering the Ghost Trail! (which I painstakingly spend 12hours to help with the preparations and decor)

With that done, moments later, the lights were off and the DJ hit the beat! It was party time! I swear it was NEARLY as good as going to ZOUK or MOS considered the crowd that night. To be honest, wanna guess who got the party started...? Bingo! It was me! Hard to believe, huh! Everyone was shy at first so me and my friends decided to dance amongst ourselves first and hopefully the rest catch up. To hype things up, I decided to open a circle within the crowd asking them to back up with the help of my friends to make some empty space. It was gonna be like one person will go in, show their stuff and go out followed by another person. I was the first one and guess what? I was challenged to a battle by this other guy! After I finished doing my thing, he came in, did his and left. Than it was my turn again, i blew him off with some moves than he came in again. All this while, we maintained eye contact. After 2 rounds, we ended it with a hi-5, telling each other nice going! By then, we saw many around us already started joining in, grooving to the beat and party finally kicked in. Plenty of hot girls, moshing, dancing and grinding going around. The girls really let themselves loose and didn't hold back!! Hi-5 to all of you who danced and got wild as the party wouldn't have been fun without you all! It was DAMN awesome, fun and cool! Especially with so many people you know around you! There was a camera-man!!! I wanna see if I can get my hands on it and see myself... I mean the whole party in action!!!

I was really shag after the party at around 1am-2am. Ordered McDonalds delivery with some of my frenz later on for supper. Sleeping in 5 minutes time cause was awake playing games, chit-chat and told ghost stories with some of the campers after the party as it was our last night together and we really didn't wanna sleep that early, besides, spending time with each other is fun! Gotta wake up for my PP presentation in 4 hours time at 8am, wish me luck!!!

Title : Camp U & I Day One

Camp U & I Day-1

Today was the first day of "Camp U & I"! Finally! I can't wait to make new friends and have some fun!!! The turn-out wasn't bad at all. I can't remember but around 190-200 people turned up for the camp! Sweet! It kicked off with the usual ice-breaking session when everyone start getting to know one another. Most of the Student Leaders (SLs) from Cypher Club, (me and my usual gang of pals, yeah!) played games with the campers and started to get along and bond with each other very fast but compared to the other SLs from other clubs, they got off kinda slow and some of them just didn't bother so it makes me wonder how they can even BE SLs... That would just make the campers bored when you don't interact with them... Anyways, later on, we had this mini Amazing Race called "The Quest" in Singapore whereby the teams had to search for not clues... but FOOD!!! They will be thrown into an area and are to find food around the area which names link to one another without taking public transport.

Example: First food is Mee Soto, it ends with "to", so the next food you need to hunt for must start with "to".

Simple right! I was one of the Gamemaster who was assigned to a team to take care of throughout The Quest. The team I was assigned to was all down and bored when I arrived... The SL isn't doing his job obviously, he was a good SL but just wasn't good enough to bring up the mood of his team. I can't blame him since it might have been his first time or he might just be doing this for the points he'll earn for the point graduation criteria in RP (which I cleared wayyy long ago unlike some losers!) after he completes the camp, so I had to step in and make fiends with each and every one of them just like I did in Cypher Camp a few months back when I was a SL cause the fun and happiness we have together will become happy memories and you won't feel that coming to the camp was a waste. The team was just shy but really opened up to me later on after I chat, joke and played games with them (Jian Yuan, Lay Teng, Matthew, Yong Jia, Shaun, Zhu Yi & Nick) throughout the entire journey in the bus to their designated area for The Quest.

My team was cracking their brains off to link the words when we arrived to our area which was Ayer Rajah Community Centre which is located at Pandan Gardens. This was what they came up with-

We went from Teban Market to IMM to search for all the food!!! Best part is, they had to finish all the food before proceeding to the next food! Mwahahaha!!! The advocado was hard to find and made us go to IMM and it tasted like liquidised brown sugar (gula melaka in Malay). I can't believe we went Giant to by only ONE SMALL bottle of Nutella chocolate spread... Thankfully there wasn't any queue at all... Or we'd be stuck there! We ate the whole entire bottle clean!!! I sure am not gonna be able to sleep tonight... Anyways, we played a game of Taboo along the way. We ended the race by forming an alliance with another team by heading back to school together, which was our ending point. We sure had LOTS of fun and I sure do hope their SL is abit more enthusiastic towards them like when I was there as I won't be with them anymore for the next game... Pity those campers who came here for fun but ended up thinking it's a waste of time... The day ended off with the whole camp learning 2 cool dance routines, haha!! It was fun!!Anyways, here are some of the people who worked hard and put in effort to organize and put together this camp!!! I'm gonna continue my PP (Professional Profiling) now and get some sleep coz I gotta wake up in 4 hours time!!! Gosh! See ya!!!

Camp U & I Day-0 (Dry-Run)

Today was the dry-run of :Camp U & I". Me and the rest of the Cypher Club committee members had a pretty rough idea of what to do but still need to do a bit more planning as we are in-charge of the camp's Cypheriva Halloween Night Ghost Trail. Guess we'll figure it out eventually as usual hahaha! We were so tired and hungry at the end of the day that we went Causeway Point to eat Sakae Sushi dinner buffet!! At first we wanted to eat at Seoul Garden but Sakae Sushi was wayyy cheaper considered to Seoul Garden and majority of us wanted to eat there anyways, haha!! Yay!!! We ate like barbarians who hadn't eaten in days! Me, Ram, Alouis, Berlin, Leonard, Kenny, Felicia, Kai Le, Kelly, Jonathan and Desmond! Since we split into 2 tables of 6 people each, we decided to challenge which table would eat more!! Muahahaha!!! My table which comprised of me, Ram, Kenny, Alouis, Berlin and Leonard, ordered like there was no tomorrow til we got to a point where we can't stuff anything in anymore! We were famished and in trouble, as when we thought all our orders had came and no more was coming, even MORE came! THANKS Alouis & Ram!!! Well, we got away from the restaurant by "sneaky" methods without having to pay for wastage of food. Actually, we just walked out of the restaurant as fast as we could after paying the bill and hoping they won't see our table. Heeheehee!!!

Went off to watch Tropic Thunder next after deciding between that and High School Musical 3 since some of them already watched it. Tropic Thunder was a damn hilarious movie which made all of us laugh like crazy!! I recommend you guys who love to joke and laugh to watch it with your friends. It's damn funny! Jonathan laughed the worst out of all of us! When he laughs, the whole theater can hear him! OMG! Hahaha!! We caught the 9.50pm show so it ended at 11.50pm. Headed back to bunk in and sleepover at school later on since tomorrow is gonna be a busy day as it's the actual start of the camp. We went back to our Cypher Club clubroom to slack, chit-chat, joke around, play card games, magic tricks, fortune-telling and so on til 3am before one by one went to sleep. I'm staying up to finish up my PP (Professional-Profiling) Poster for presentation in 2 days time!! Gosh, I'm tired now, gonna hit the sack, will finish up my poster later on and I gotta get up in like 4 hours time! Argh! Nytex!!!
