I haven't been blogging for a while since my laptop crashed on me a month and a half ago. Ever since that damn virus infection which mutated into something that I can't even boot up my Windows properly, I wasn't able to blog and I had so many things to blog about at that period of time that I forgottem what I wanted to blog about. One was a movie review, the other was my trip to this classy Sweets and Delicacy Restaurant in town called 'The Canele' and another was when I spent the whole day at town with cash to satisfy myself and my cravings and bought myself a little something at Agnes B and another entry was about my class outing to Sentosa and our buffet dinner, got so many pictures to upload too that I just decided to summarise it here and not put up any individual posts.

It's the holidays for 3 weeks and I'm left with one week starting today as school reopens next week. Damn bored! Time flew by so fast cause I was so busy working in that darn confounded call centre at Starhub, full of demanding customers that desire the impossible. If it weren't for the testimonial in my diploma that I'd obtain if I completed this 'attachment', I would have quit long ago!!! That was also due to my pay being pushed to next month cause some joker forgotten to submit his bank account number and the whole lot of us didn't recive our pay this month cause of him! Typical Singaporeans do not deserve a 'thank you' for those who always thinks that they're right and do not even think about the trouble the other party goes through just to meet their satisfaction.

Right then! About this post I'm writing about is for you guys to see who's in my new class at W66C if you wanna find me. The class has some of the wierdest combinations of people I've ever seen! Don't judge a book by its cover as people always say. Well, I'm gonna spend another 16 weeks with them so I better start thinking of how to make friends with them. On second thought, maybe I'll not do anything and see what happens... Humans are the most interesting things to observe in life. They're full of new things and so unpredictable yet one will do as much as they can to find out and learn about one another when they get attracted to another of their own kind. I love psychology. =)

World Cyber Games (WCG)

World Cyber Games (WCG) has officially ended! It was the last day today and damn am I tired... Freaking Adrian, boss of Rapture Gaming, the organizer and company responsible for WCG was damn strict and annoying, we couldn't even take a short break without having to look out for him, it's like he's everywhere. -_-Anyways, about the event, I was the Marshal for both Counter Strike (CS) and defence Of the Ancients (dOtA), was freaking tired the whole day had to stand and referee-ed the matches. Was fed up at some of the other inexperienced marshals who didn't noticed certain obvious rules that weren't being followed during gameplay til I had to alert them and tell them off later on. For god's sake, this is the WORLD Cyber Games, some standard please, and you call yourselves marshals... Fortunately no complains were heard from the players and competitors. Bumped into my Gaming.RP president, KC, there on that day taking part in the CS competition, coincidentally or fatefully I was in-charge of marshal-ing his game. Sadly, his team got thrashed 16-2, 16-3 and finally 16-0. Haha, it's okay, their team name WAS "Play4fun" anyways! Hahaha!! Man! The competitors get to play LAN like crazy in between matches while waiting for their next opponents. It wasn't all boring as I got to see some stategic play from good teams with exceptional teamwork in both dOtA and CS. Thankfully, it really wasn't a bore as there was an all-girls team competing for CS too and whoa were they good!! Not to mention pretty! Only one of them though. winkz*There was an all-girls team for dOtA too! They had a tie in the round-robin match and had to play a tie-breaker at 10pm, I remembered heading off as I was off-duty by that time so didn't stay to watch the outcome. Wonder who won but they were pretty good too and yes, pretty but yet again, only one of them. Haha!! The 4 day event from Thursday 7 August til Sunday 10 August hauled in at least a 100 000 visitors! They were giving out free Red Bull too throughout the event, and yes the girls
handing out the free cans of Red Bull were hot too! While I was working as a marshal, some of my friends were working as booth helpers, like the F1 simulator ride by Intel and the Xbox360 booth sponsored by Cheers.I came to visit on the third day after my part-time job at Starhub ended at 3pm and came as a visitor on that day with my colleague cum classmate cum best-friend Jing Yu. We met up with another classmate, CK, before that and ate my favourite New York Fish & Chips at Fish & Co at Suntec City before heading up to the convention centre for WCG. Man, have I been burning my wallet this whole month!! Anyways, decided to grab myself a goodie bag, I remember packing them one day before the event, estimated 2000 goodie bags!! Tiring... What was inside? Lots of things, PC magazine, T3 magazine, posters, wet wipes, World of Warcraft (WoW) trading cards, and amongst others, to my surprise, a FHM magazine!!! Hahaha!! First time I see WCG having partnership with FHM!Anyways, regarding my visit, went around saying hi to my colleagues and checking up on the year-ones who was their first time helping out in an event. Looks like everything was fine and went around playing games and taking lots of photos! Played a mini-dOtA tournament and won myself a WCG Goodie-Bag! Objective met! But sadly, mine had no FHM in it!!! Grrr!!! Went around to take more pictures and was forced (sabo!) by my friends and colleagues to take pictures with the models and try the F1 simulator. Not as if I was shy or didn't wanna or anything, just that I wanted to take pictures with my friends but instead at the end of the day, I got none but had pictures of the models instead! Oh well... At least it wasn't all a waste, the models were smoking hot!!! On the way back with Jing Yu and CK, the roads wee blocked as that day was National Day, Happy Birthday Singapore!!! The crowd were like ants by the hundreds!!! Had to make a hectic big turn! Passed by the Meritus Hotel and saw them flashing and projecting different patterns onto the hotel in conjunction of National Day, I only caught a few, you think I'd stand there and wait for all of 'em? Crazy!! Anyways, we walked all the way to Bugis MRT station just to get the MRT home as the City Hall MRT station was congested and we were guided away by the traffic police.Went back on the last day, met up with my Gaming.RP members and colleagues just in time to help them wrap things up and pack up. I was also in time to fill up my payment slip!! Thank god I came!!! If not I wouldn't receive any pay!!! Phew... Grabbed a few extra free leftover WCG premiums, t-shirts and goodies before we went home. We went for supper at McDonalds before heading off to catch the last train home. Another event done. WCG 2009 will be held next year at Suntec City Convention Centre yet again if things go smoothly, and I'll definitely be there yet again!
